Current Projects
In addition to book and ebook publishing, we're involved in opening up the field of dynamic diabetes management. It starts with educating and empowering patients. To overcome the intertia of the static method, taught for the past 50 years, it will take medical and health-oriented professionals to also come to terms with limitations inherent in the static approach and the opportunity of managing in the moment.
From hardware to software, our day involves licensing and consulting around original and more recent designs to recruit, engage and activate patients. Our team consults on projects ranging from:
-
commercialization of a next generation fully implanted continuous glucose sensor;
-
commercializing research on child obesity via a consumer mobile app;
-
summarizing the dynamic approach to "in the moment blood sugar management" while promoting the book "Sugar Surfingâ„¢";
-
speaking to patients and diabetes professionals at conferences in the USA, UK and IE;
-
writing online educational modules for teaching and assessing type 1 diabetes self-care;
-
analyzing next gen cgm data analytics;
-
building online communities via crowd funding & social media;
-
writing predictive analytical algorithms based on observational dynamics;
-
designing a next generation medical device to facilitate contextual data enhancement; and,
-
writing grants to secure funding for advancing the state of diabetes technology.
